Is it possible to give the boat, or a share in this boat, as security?

Only the owner of a vessel registered under the Canada Shipping Act, 2001 can give the vessel, or the share of which he is the owner, as security in the form of a marine mortgage. This marine mortgage must be the subject of registration in the Register.
