When settling an estate with a will, it often happens that the deceased has mentioned a particular legacy in his will. In such cases, the liquidator, a key player in estate settlement, is generally called upon to deliver this legacy as soon as possible after death, subject to payment of the various debts of the deceased or the estate.
The letter of delivery to the legatees by particular title can therefore be used by the liquidator both to send a cheque and to describe any other property delivered as a particular legacy.
The letter available on this site is suitable for most situations and goes beyond a simple model.
