What other formalities must be accomplished with the declaration of transmission?

The declaration of transmission must be published in the land register so that the transfer of ownership becomes opposable against all.

If there is more than one heir, it is preferable to proceed to the publication of a notice of address for each one of them. Such notice allows everyone to find out if one of his co-owners has been the subject of a procedure of seizure by his creditor; it is then possible to pay off the creditor and prevent him from seizing a portion of the immovable property.

Transmission by succession is also subject to the payment of real property transfer duties, called "Welcome tax", subject to the exemption in favor of the surviving spouse, the descendants of the deceased and his ascendants.
