What are the risks usually covered by the title insurance?

The title insurance covers the risks arising from in particular:

  • the rights that could hold a third party in the title of ownership;
  • the non-cancelled hypothecs that can affect the titles;
  • the legal hypothecs of construction (under certain conditions);
  • a non-existent location certificate or which is not up to date at the time of the transaction;
  • the non-compliance with zoning regulations and municipal regulations;
