Can the inventory be waived when a minor, a protected adult, or an absent person is entitled to a share of the estate?

An exemption from the requirement to draw up an inventory of the estate may not be granted if the heirs include a minor, a protected adult, or an absent person. In such cases, the inventory is mandatory in order to protect these individuals and to ensure that liability is limited to the assets of the estate.
