It is an assessment made by a physician establishing the health status of the person for whom the institution of protective supervision is asked for or for whom the homologation of a protection mandate given in anticipation of incapacity is asked for. The medical assessment must allow to determine if the incapacity is partial or total and if it is temporary or permanent.
Let us remind that the court will pronounce the institution of a protective supervision or the homologation of the protection mandate only if it receives a medical assessment establishing the incapacity of the person concerned.
