Is a compliance notice mandatory?

All buildings built after April 29, 2010 must normally comply with specific conformity standards, but it is the responsibility of the manufacturer or importer to ensure this. However, certain exceptions may apply, such as :

• Buildings built by a private individual using traditional methods;
• Vessels built or imported by an individual for personal use;
• Vessels with powerful engines used in nautical races.
