What are the acts which can be delegated pursuant to a mandate?

The signature of a specific power of attorney (which constitutes a mandate pursuant to the Civil Code of Quebec) could in particular be drafted to authorize the mandatary to:

• hypothec (also called mortgage), sell or purchase an immovable property;
• allow the management of an immovable property or a business;
• sell or purchase a vehicle.

In fact, most of the administrative or legal acts that a person can exercise by himself could be the subject of a power of attorney.
