Can a mandatary delegate, to another person, the powers which he holds pursuant to his mandate?

The mandatary is required to fulfill personally the power of attorney (which constitutes a mandate pursuant to the Civil Code of Quebec) which was granted to him, unless the mandator allows him to be assisted by another person and delegate to the latter powers for that purpose.
