What is a technical description?

The technical description describes the limits of a parcel of land which must be the subject of particular rights. By opposition to the location certificate, the technical description describes a land on which there is no building.

The surveyor will describe every straight way which limits the immovable property on its length and its direction in addition to indicate there the metes (neighboring land in the width direction) and the bounds (neighboring land in the length direction). The technical description must also indicate the surface of the immovable property. This description is accompanied by a plan showing those aforesaid limits and the neighboring immovable properties.
