What to do before your death to avoid all the hassles to the heirs or liquidator of a succession?

To avoid any hassles for the heirs or the liquidator of a succession or still for the mandatary to property of a person who become incapacitated and to preserve the confidentiality of the deceased's life, some approaches are presently available on the Web, even if these ones are not perfect or without potential problems:

  • the digital safe that allows to convey to the person designated by the deceased or by the person who become incapacitated all the digital data of the deceased or of the person incapacitated, as his IDs, access codes and passwords; and
  • the storage by the deceased, during his lifetime, or by the incapacitated, while the latter was still able of doing so, of all his documents and files or his digital data in a storage space rented on a specialized website.

Also, it is noted that the occurrence of incapacity in a user is not yet dealt with systematically by service providers that often offer only forms to fill out in the case of a user's death. However, incapacity should not be taken lightly, since in the case of a permanent and total incapacity, the result of this situation means that the user concerned cannot see anymore to his own property and thus, that he will no longer use himself his various accounts.
