What happens to my virtual patrimony when I die?

Your virtual patrimony is part of your succession. If you die with a Will in which you have decided the fate of your virtual patrimony, your virtual assets will be passed on to your designated legatees or still, the liquidator of your succession will see to pass them on to your heirs or legatees.

If you die without a Will, the applicable rules of succession law will apply and your virtual assets will be passed on to the heirs at law of your succession, being the heirs determined by application of the rules of the Civil Code of Québec.
