What must contain the acknowledgement of debt?

The contents of the acknowledgement of debt can be summarized in four main points:

• The amount of the loan;
  • If necessary, the interest rate with references to the effect that:
  • The lent sum bears interest as from its remittance to the borrower and that;
• The interests are paid at the agreed rate or, failing that, at the legal rate.
• The payment must be made to the creditor or to any person authorized to receive it on his behalf. If the payment is made to a third party, it is valid only if the creditor ratifies it or to the extent that he took advantage of it.
• The place of remittance of payment, expressly or implicitly designated by the parties.
