An action to enforce a personal right, such as a claim, is time-barred after three years, unless an exception applies.
However, it is important to note that prescription can be interrupted, for example, by an acknowledgement of the debt by the debtor. The creditor is therefore not obliged to renew the agreement every 3 years to preserve his claim.
