A Will search with the Chambre des notaires du Québec and the Barreau du Québec (Quebec Bar) is necessary to verify if the deceased left a Will or to verify if the available Will is indeed the last one that was made.

It is also important to ensure that the deceased has not left a Will that he would have made of his own hand (holograph Will) or before witnesses.
