Does the declaration of heirs replace a declaration of inheritance?

No.

The declaration of heirs does not replace the declaration of inheritance.

It is a transitional document that allows for the identification of the persons entitled to the estate and the formal recognition of their right to inherit before they definitively acquire the status of heir.

The declaration of inheritance generally occurs when the heirs have acquired that status and it is necessary to officially record the transfer of the estate.
