When should the liquidator retain possession of the property?

When the will designates an liquidator and the sale takes place shortly after the death, it is often advantageous for the liquidator to retain the title until the deed of sale is signed. This approach generally allows the executor to sign the deed of sale alone, without having to obtain the signatures of all the heirs.
