When a couple ceases to live together, for how long do measures to protect the parental union assets remain in place?

Measures to protect the patrimony of a parental union continue for a period of 120 days after the end of the union.

During this period, requests concerning :
  • allocation of ownership or use of householdfurniture,
  • the lease of the family residence,
  • the granting of a right ofuse over the family residence,
must be submitted to the court. Once this deadline has passed, such requests can no longer be made.
