What are the family residence protection and allocation measures?

Protection of the family residence : The owner spouse cannot dispose of his or her rights over the family residence without the written agreement of the other spouse, on pain of nullity of the deed, only if a declaration of family residence has been entered in the land register.

Allocation in the event of child custody: The non-owner spouse who obtains custody of the child may be granted a right of use over the family residence.
