What happens if the deceased has not appointed a liquidator?

In the case of an intestate succession or a succession with a Will in which the testator would have omitted to appoint a liquidator, the heirs will have to act collectively to settle the succession or appoint, by a majority vote among them, a liquidator. It will then be necessary to make an act of appointment of liquidator.
