Is a life insurance policy included in the assets of the succession?

In the presence of a life insurance policy with a designated beneficiary, the product is not a part of the succession and the designated beneficiary will receive directly the product of this policy. On the contrary, the life insurance policy which does not include a designated beneficiary or which is payable to the succession, enters into the assets of the succession of the deceased.
