What is the replacement value in the case of insurance of a divided co-ownership?

It is the reconstruction cost of the divided co-ownership in case of a disaster. The reconstruction must respect the initial estimate taking into account the changes made to the Building Code -1985 Regulation - An Act Respecting Occupational Health and Safety, new construction standards, municipal regulations, etc. since the time of the initial construction.

The evaluation of the reconstruction cost is a specialized operation that must be entrusted to an expert. It cannot simply result from the addition of the insured value of the common portions by the syndicate of co-owners and of the private portions by each of the co-owners.
