A notice of address is the document by which a creditor or holder of an interest in an immovable or movable property specifies the address at which he or she will receive any notification concerning said immovable or movable property.
The publication of a notice of address in the Land Register (for a real estate property) or the RDPRM (for a personal property) allows a creditor or holder of an interest in the real estate or personal property to be notified of certain events affecting his or her right.
For example, if a mortgage lender undertakes legal proceedings following a default by the debtor, another creditor who has previously published a notice of address will be notified of this event and will be able to take the necessary steps to enforce or protect his or her rights on the mortgaged or charged proprety.
