Service contract for independent worker

In a service contract for independent or self-employed worker, the services to be rendered by the latter are clearly specified, the services of such worker are retained only for a specific task and for a limited period of time. The remuneration of the worker is also specified in the service contract, as well as the terms of payment of such remuneration, both of which differ from those normally found in an employment contract for an employee. For example, the worker will receive a lump sum for his services and he will not necessarily be paid weekly or every two weeks as is the case for an employee, and he is especially not entitled to benefits. Indeed, the independent worker does not enjoy the same economic and financial benefits as those offered to employees by their employer, or the various legal protections offered to a person holding an employee status. Also, the worker is not required to provide its services exclusively to the offices of his client, but he can also do this from his own premises or from home. Finally, the independent or self-employed worker is not at the service of a single company or a single client, his services being provided on a non-exclusive basis, and he may carry out several service contracts with different companies simultaneously.
