Land register (formerly the index to immovables)

The Land Register contains the recordings or entries by the officer of the District Registrar of all real estate transactions (sales, declarations of transmission, servitudes) that may affect an immovable/real estate property in Quebec.

Each land lot in Quebec has its own land file on which these entries or recordings are made, to indicate who owns it and what are the charges and real rights that affect this land lot (mortgages, servitudes, leases, etc.).
