Foreign matrimonial regime

Spouses may be married under a foreign matrimonial regime if they got married outside of Quebec AND if their domicile, at the time of marriage, was also located outside of Quebec. (Compliance with these two conditions is necessary) On the other hand, if the spouses got married in Las Vegas, but, at the time of marriage, they were both domiciled in the Province of Quebec, they do not meet one of the two criteria pertaining to the foreign matrimonial regime and, therefore, they are considered to be married under the laws of the Province of Quebec.
