Trust

The trust is a legal regime under which a person, the settlor, transfers, by way of gift, property owned by him to a separate patrimony which is autonomous and distinct of his own patrimony, and which is held for another person, the beneficiary. The separate patrimony, also referred to as patrimony by appropriation, will be administered by a trustee.
