The counter-offer represents the response of the seller to the buyer's offer. The seller will thus propose an amendment to one or more provisions of the original purchase offer. The seller may wish to change the sale price, the date of transfer of ownership, inclusions and exclusions, etc. The buyer must respond to the seller's counter-offer within a specific time limit. As part of the negotiation process, several offers and counter-offers may be made between the seller and the buyer.
