Syndicate of co-owners

The syndicate of co-owners (commonly called the condo association) is established upon publication of the declaration of co-ownership and includes all the co-owners as a body. The syndicate is a corporation that administers the co-ownership, is responsible for the maintenance of common areas, for the by-laws of the immovable (rules of the co-ownership) and the management of the co-ownership funds. In Quebec, the syndicate of co-owners must be registered at Enterprise Registrar, and this registration must be renewed annually. The members of the syndicate of co-owners shall meet annually, they can also hold a meeting at any time, when necessary.
