In a federal state, the jurisdiction of the central government is exerted on the entire national territory, while the jurisdiction of the Federated States is exercised on parts of the national territory (Provinces in Canada, States in the United States, Länder in Germany, etc. ). In Canada, we may have corporations under federal or provincial jurisdiction.
