Corporations Canada is the federal government agency which, among other things, is responsible for the administration of the
Canadian Business Corporations Act and several other corporate laws governing federal corporations. Corporations Canada is responsible for the incorporation of business corporations and of other related services, such as amalgamations (mergers) or other amendments to the corporations' articles, dissolution of corporations, regulation of corporate names, collection and disclosure of information on federal corporations and all activities related to the compliance with and enforcement of the laws.
