The law does not give a framework to de facto union. In such a context, the economic and patrimonial problems raised by a break-up can thus be settled only by negotiation between the parties or by resorting to the courts, with all the risks which this can imply in both cases, the cohabitation contract remains the best way to clarify freely with your de facto spouse what will be your respective rights and your mutual obligations.
