If the heirs have not already appointed a liquidator, they can use the declaration of inheritance to do so. The liquidator will be responsible for administering and liquidating the estate in accordance with the Civil Code of Québec.
The appointment of the liquidator must comply with the rules set out in the Civil Code of Quebec , in particular those relating to the required majority of rights in the estate.
