When does a mandate come to an end?

The mandate comes to an end:

  • by the mere passing of time, if it was limited in this sense;
  • by the revocation of it by the mandator;
  • by the renunciation of the mandatary;
  • by the death of one or both of the parties;
  • by the bankruptcy of the mandator;
  • by the institution of a protective supervision towards one or both of the parties.

At the end of the mandate, unless he is exempted from it, the mandatary is required to render account to the mandator and must remit to him everything that he has received in the execution of his duties.
