What is the usefulness of a discharge?

The liquidator has submitted his rendering of account to the heirs so that they accept it: how can he make sure that they are satisfied with his administration and that they agree to release him from his duties? By having them sign a discharge.

The discharge allows to prove that the heirs have accepted the rendering of account and to relieve the liquidator from any responsibility, unless he has committed fraudulent acts during his administration.

The discharge is also indicated in the case where the heirs would have exempted the liquidator from supplying them a rendering of account.
