Does inspection have its limits?

In order to know precisely the guarantees or specific obligations of the inspector, it is strongly recommended to sign with him an inspection contract which will determine the limitations. In the absence of such limitation clauses or clauses of guarantee, the inspector has generally an obligation of means and not of results. Nobody can require from him to unearth very well hidden defects which would have been detectable only by breaking down the walls for example.
