What is the purpose of a confidentiality commitment?

The agreement is intended, in particular, to prevent the recipient of confidential information from disclosing it to any other person or company, from communicating it to anyone, from sharing it, from reproduce, copy, or use it for purposes other than those covered by the business opportunity under consideration or the proposed transaction in the context of a business acquisition or sale, as well as the purposes covered by the employment contract, their employment, or their services rendered as a self-employed individual, unless the information is in the public domain, without first obtaining the consent of the discloser or the beneficiary of the commitment.
