The secretary of the meeting must verify if the participants are entitled to attend the meeting and have them sign the attendance sheet. It is him who will have to count the members present and represented in order to inform the president before the opening of the meeting so that the latter can determine if the quorum is reached.
The main task of the secretary is to record the deliberations of the meeting. He must thus note the proposals stemming from the meeting, note the names of the proposers and seconders, the result of the votes, if it turns out to be necessary to hold same, in view of the drafting of the minutes of proceedings of the meeting which he will have to establish later.
